Explain your answer, I don't get this. All I know is you have to use GCF to find the common factor. I don't know were to go from there.

(3)²+(✓8b)²

a²+b²= (a+b)²-2ab

= (3+✓8b)² - 2(3*✓8b)

(a+b)²= a²+b²+2ab

(3)²+(✓8)²+2(3*✓8b)

9+8+6+2✓8b

23+2✓8b
