We have:

496 : 204 : : 329 : ?

We have to find, the value of missing number (?) is:

Solution:

The pattern follow:

x^{3} - 2x.

496 : 204

496 = 8^{3} - 2(8)

       = 512 - 16= 496

204 = 6^{3} - 2(6)

       = 216 - 12 = 204

329 : ?

329 = 7^{3} - 2(7)

       = 343 - 14 = 329

Similarly:

? =  = 5^{3} - 2(5)

⇒ ? = 125 - 10

⇒ ? = 110

∴ Missing number (?) = 110

Given :- 496 : 204 :: 329 : ?

Solution :-

In analogy we have to apply same logic in next ratio .

→ 496 = 512 - 16 => (8)³ - 2 * 8

→ 204 = 216 - 12 => (6)³ - 2 * 6

  • 8 - 6 = 2 Difference

therefore,

→ 329 = 343 - 14 = (7)³ - 2 * 7

Next term will be :-

  • 7 - 2 = 5

→ (5)³ - 2 * 5 = 125 - 10 = 115 (Ans.)
