GIVEN :

The equation is \frac{4m+2}{6m+10}=\frac{1}{2}

TO FIND :

The value of m in the given equation.

SOLUTION :

Given equation is \frac{4m+2}{6m+10}=\frac{1}{2}

To find the value of m in the given equation :

First we have to solve the given equation as below,

\frac{4m+2}{6m+10}=\frac{1}{2}

2(4m+2)=1(6m+10)

By using the Distributive property :

a(x+y)=ax+ay

2(4m)+2(2)=1(6m)+1(10)

8m+4=6m+10

8m-6m+4-10=0

2m-6=0

2m=6

m=\frac{6}{2}

m=3

∴ the value of m in the given equation \frac{4m+2}{6m+10}=\frac{1}{2} is 3.

∴ the value is m=3.
