Patrick himself did his homework hiddenly. In chapter we read that Patrick had found an elf which was in trouble and begging the help from Patrick.Elf put a condition in front of Patrick that if he saved him from the cat he will complete his one wish. So then Patrick saved him and the Elf did his homework.
No,the Elf is not intelligent enough to answer the questions in all subjects so he had the help of Patrick for doing all the homework. In this way Patrick did his homework itself.
