Answer:

Let us solve it by elimination method:

Step-by-step explanation:

4p + 3a = 4 ---(1)

2p - 5a = 15 ---(2)

let us multiply eq.1 by 2

and eq.2 by 4

So what it will become is

2{4p + 3a = 4} ---> Multiplying

8p + 6a = 8 --(3)

4{2p - 5a = 15} ---> Multiplying

8p - 20a = 60 --(4)

So now by elimination method

8p + 6a = 8

8p - 20a = 60

-     +         -

_____________

0 + 26a = -52

a =  -52/26

a = -2 -----> Putting value of a in any of the equation will get you the answer.

putting a = -2 in equation(1)

4p + 3(-2) = 4

4p - 6 = 4

4p = 4+6

4p = 10

p = 10/4

p = 2.5
