Answer:

b = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given--->

------------- 4ᵇ ⁺ ² = 64

To find ----> Value of b

-----------

Solution---> First of all we break 64 in to

-------------

prime factors

64 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2

two multiplied six times is equal to 2⁶

64 = 2⁶

Now 4ᵇ⁺² = 2⁶

=> (2 × 2 )ᵇ⁺² = 2⁶

=> ( 2²)ᵇ⁺² = 2⁶

We have an identity ( aᵐ)ⁿ = aᵐⁿ

Applying it here we get

=> 2²ᵇ⁺⁴ = 2⁶

On comparing exponent

=> 2b + 4 = 6

=> 2b = 6 - 4

=> 2b = 2

=> b = 2/ 2

=> b = 1
