To find ratio of momentum, it’s required to find their velocities.

To find velocities, apply conservation of energy.

For first ball,

m1gH1 = 1/2 m1 v1^2

Square root (2gH1) = v1…………..(1)

Similarly for second ball ,

Squareroot (2gH2) = v2…………..(2)

Ratio of momentum,

P1/P2 = m1v1/m2v2

=squareroot(2gH1)/ squareroot (2gH2)

(Mass of both balls same (given ) I.e. m1=m2)

= squareroot(2*g*16)/squareroot(2*g*64)

=4/8

=1/2

P1/P2 =1/2
