4x = \frac{3}{3} + \frac{1}{3} \\\\4x = \frac{4}{3}

x = \frac{4}{3} ÷  4            {Division is reciprocal multiplication}

x = \frac{4}{3} * \frac{1}{4} \\\\x = \frac{4}{12} = \frac{1}{3}
