Answer :

4x - 1 / 5x -1 = 5/7

Now by cross multiplying;

(4x - 1 ) ( 7) =( 5x-1 )( 5)

=> 28 x -7 = 25 x - 5

=> 28 x- 25 x= -5 +7

=> 3 x = 2

Hence x= 2/3 = 0.6

Hope this helps u !!!!

Answer:

 \frac{4x - 1}{5x - 1}  =  \frac{5}{7}

7(4x-1) = 5(5x-1)

(7×4x) - (7×1)=(5×5x) - (5×1)

28x - 7 = 25x - 5

28x - 25x = 7 - 5

3x =2

x=2/3
