Given

4x+18/2x =5

According to the question

 \frac{4x + 18}{2x} = 5 \\ \\ = \cancel\frac{4x + 18}{2x} = 5 \\ \\ = 2x + 18 = 5 \\ \\ = 2x = 5 - 18 \\ \\ = 2x = - 13 \\ \\ = x = \frac{ - 13}{2} \\ \\ = x = \cancel\frac{ - 13}{2} \\ \\ = x = 12.5
