4x+-6x+-10+8/3x+-14/3+0

Just work with one varible at a time to keep from getting confused.

-2x+-10+8/3x+-14/3=0

2/3x+-10+-14/3=0

2/3x+-16/3=0

You are adding 16/3 to both sides not subtracting. That is where everyone is getting confused.

2/3x=16/3

x=8

To double check insert 8 into the x spot and work out the problem
