Given:

4x-2y=5\\2x-y=10

To find:

The value of x and y

By using substitution method:

Solve for y

2x-10=y

2x-y=2x-10-2x    [Subtract 2x from both side]

y=2x-10

y=2x-10

Substitute value of y in the equation

4x-2(2x-10)=5

Multiply 2 with bracket,

we get

4x-4x+20=5

20=5

Subtract 20 on both sides

0=-15
