We have to cross multiply the the terms in LHS

We get,

$\frac{2(4x+3)}{14} -\frac{ 7(x+5) }{14}=-2$

$\frac{8x+6}{14}-\frac{7x+35}{14}=-2$

$8x+6-7x-35=-2\times 14$

$8x-7x=-28+29$

$x=1$

Therefore, the value of $x$ is $1$.
