4x+3y=10 ______(i)

7x+2y=1________(ii)

Multiplying (i) by 2 and (ii) by 3, we get..

8x+6y=20_____(iii)

21x+6y=3______(iv)

Subtracting (iv) from (iii)

8x+6y-21x-6y=17\\</p><p>8x+ \cancel{6y}-21x- \cancel{6y}=17\\</p><p>8x-21x=17\\</p><p>-13x=17\\</p><p>x=\frac{-17}{13}\\\\</p><p></p><p>Putting\:x=\frac{-17}{13}\:in\:(i)\\</p><p>We\: get\: y=\frac{66}{13}</p><p>
