HI BUDDY,,,,

Answer,,

(i). 4x - 3y = 18

1st Step:-

4x = 18

or, x = 18÷4

So, x = 4.5

2nd Step:-

3y = 18

or, y = 18÷3

So, y = 6

According to the question,

(4×4.5) - (3×6) = 18 [ As, x = 4.5 & y = 6 ]

or, 18 - 18 = 18

or, 0 = 18

(ii). 4y - 5x = -7

1st Step :-

4y = -7

or, y = -7 ÷ 4

So, y = -1.75

2nd Step :-

5x = -7

or, x = -7÷5

So, x = -1.4

According to the question,

{4×(-1.75)} - {5×(-1.4)} = -7 [ As, y = 1.75 & x = 1.4 ]

or, (-7) - (-7) = -7

or, 0 = -7 ...........
