4x+3y= 47 eq.(1)

2x+5y= 21 eq.(2)

from eq.2 we find

2x +5y=21

so value of 2x we put in eq.1

2*2x+3y =47

so put the value

2*(-5y+21)+3y= 47

-10y+42+3y =47

-7y =47-42

-7y =5

y =-5/7

thus we put the value of y in eq.1

so 4x+3y= 47

4x+3(-5/7)= 47

4x-15/7= 47

4x =47+15/7

4x= (47*7+15)/7

x =344/7*4

x =86/7
