4x=5-3y

x=5-3y/4 --------------------(I)

2y-x=7 ---------------(ii)

now substitute the value of x from eq i to eq ii

2y-(5-3y/4) =7

8y-5+3y/4=7

8y-5+3y=7×4

11y-5=28

11y=28+5

11y=33

y=33/11

y=3

now substitute the value of y in eq i

x=5-3×3/4

x=5-9/4

x=-4/4

x=-1
