2x+y=7

equation i×1 & ii×3

4x+3y=9 [substraction]

6x+3y=21

- 2x=-12

x=-12/-2

x=6

put the value of x in equation i

4×6+3y=9

24+3y=9

3y=9-24

3y=-15

y=-15/3

y=-5

x=6

y=-5
