4x + 5 ÷ 6 - 2 (2x + 7) ÷ 3 = 3 ÷ 2

Write all divide as a fraction:

4x + 5/6 - 2(2x + 7)/3 = 3/2

Subtract 5/6 from both sides:

4x - 2(2x + 7)/3 = 2/3

Write as single fraction:

(12x - 4x - 14)/3 = 2/3

(8x - 14)/3 = 2/3

Multiply by 3 through:

8x - 14 = 2

Add 14 to both sides:

8x = 16

Divide by 8 on both sides:

x = 2

Solution :

Given 4x+5÷6-2(2x+7)÷3=3÷2

=> 4x+5/6 -2(2x+7)/3=3/2

Multiply each term with 6, we get

=> 24x+5 -4(2x+7) = 9

=> 24x+5-8x-28 = 9

=> 16x - 23 = 9

=> 16x = 9 + 23

=> 16x = 32

=> x = 32/16

x = 2
