Question :-

4x + 5(x-3) = 15 - (3x + 6)

Solution :-

4x + 5(x-3) = 15 - (3x + 6)

4x + 5x - 15 = 15 - 3x -6

9x - 15 = -3x + 9

9x + 3x = 9 + 15

12x = 24

Therefore x = 2

Value of x = 2

_______________

How to check the answer :-

we had found that the value of an unknown variable x = 2 , Let's substitute in the given linear equation to find out whether our answer is right !

4x + 5(x-3) = 15 - (3x + 6)

Now substitute x = 2 ,

4 (2) + 5 (2-3) = (15-(3 (2) +6)

8 + 5 (-1) = 15 - 12

8 - 5 = 3

3= 3

When we get same values , its sure that our answers are right

Answer:

4x+5(x-3)=15-(3x+6)

4x+5x-15=15-3x-6

x-15=9-3x

9x+3x=9+15

12x=24

X=2

verification:

4(2)+5(2-3)=15-(3(2)+6)

8-5=15-(6+6)

3=3

therefore LHS=RHS
