7x - 64y = 33....(2)

Using formula for cross multiplication method which is shown in attached figure

where a1 = 4, a2 = 7, b1= 5, b2 = -6, c1=2 and c2=33

From (1) and (2) we write the values of a, b and C.

 =  \frac{x}{5 \times 33 -  ( - 6) \times 2}  =  \frac{y}{2 \times 7 - 4 \times 33}  =  \frac{ - 1}{4  \times ( - 6) - 7 \times 5}

 =  \frac{x}{165 + 12}  =  \frac{y}{14 - 132}  =  \frac{1}{59}

 =  \frac{x}{177}  =  \frac{1}{59}

 =  x=  \frac{177}{59}  = 3

Similarly,

y =  - 2

Hence the required value of x and y are 3 and -2 respectively.
