4x + 6y = 24
and 2x + 4y = 20
2x = 20 - 4y
2(20-4y) + 6y = 24
40 - 8y + 6y = 24
40 - 24 - 2y = 0
16 = 2y
y = 8
and 2x + 4(8)=20
2x = 20 - 32
2x = -12
x = -6
and 2x + 4y = 20
2x = 20 - 4y
2(20-4y) + 6y = 24

40 - 24 - 2y = 0
