4x+9y=10
x=10-9y/4---
put value of x into 2nd equation.
2×(10-9y/4)+3y=12
10-9y/2=12-3y
10-9y=24-6y
-3y=14
y=-14/3.

put value of y into x
(10-9×-14/3)/4
(10+42)/4
52/4
=13

4x+9y=10
4x=10-9y
x=(10-9y)/4

putting the value of x in equation ii
2x+3y=12

2×(10-9y)/4+3y=12

(10-9y)/2+3y=12

(10-9y+6y)/2=12

10-3y=24

-3y=24-10
-3y=14

y=-14/3

x=(10-9y)/4
=(10-9×-14/3)/4

=(10+42)/4

=52/4

x=13
