This is in the form of the mathematical formula..

(a+b)(a-b) = a^2 - b^2

Hence,

(4x+y)(4x-y) = (4x)^2 - (y)^2
= 8x^2 - y^2

Therefore by formula of

(a-b) (a+b)= a^2 -b^2

(4x)^2 - (y)^2

8x^2 - y^2
