Question :-

Factories it

→4 x² - 10 - 3x

Answer :-

 \:  \sf{x =  \frac{3 +  \sqrt{169} }{8}  \: or \:  \frac{ 3 -  \sqrt{169} }{8} } \:  \\

Solution :-

If we need to factories any quadratic so firstly we have to that p(x) = 0

p(x) = 4 x² - 10 - 3x = 0

→ 4 x² - 3x - 10 = 0

• a = 4 , b = -3 and c = -10

Here we have to use Shridharacharya principle

 \star  \: \sf{x \:  =  \frac{ - b +  \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac} }{2a}  \: or \:  \frac{ - b -  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a} } \\  \\  \rightarrow \sf{x \:  =  \frac{3 +  \sqrt{9  + 160 } }{8}  \: or \:  \frac{3 -  \sqrt{9 + 160} }{8} } \\  \\  \rightarrow \:  \sf{x =  \frac{3 +  \sqrt{169} }{8}  \: or \:  \frac{ 3 -  \sqrt{169} }{8} }

Through middle term splitting!!

Equation- 4x^2-3x-10

4x^2+( -8x+5x ) -10

4x(x-2)+2(x-2)

(4x+2)(x-2)

Factors: 4x+2 and x-2
