We have to factorise 4x² - 12xy + 9y².

By Identity:-

4x² - 12xy + 9y²

= (2x)² + (3y)² - 2(2x)(3y)

= (2x - 3y)²

= (2x - 3y)(2x - 3y) Ans.

Identity used: a² - 2ab + b² = (a - b)²

By Splitting the mid-term:-

4x² - 12xy + 9y²

= 4x² - (6 + 6)xy + 9y²

= 4x² - 6xy - 6xy + 9y²

= 2x(2x - 3y) - 3y(2x - 3y)

= (2x - 3y)(2x - 3y) Ans.
