Applying the identity: a^2 - b^2 =(a+b)(a−b)

Using the above identity, the equation

4x^2−9y^2−2x−3y

can be factorised as follows:

4x^2 − 9y^2 −2x − 3y

= (2x) ^2 − (3y)^2 − 2x −3y

=(2x+3y)(2x−3y)−1(2x+3y)=(2x+3y)(2x−3y−1)

Hence, 4x^2 − 9y^2 −2x−3y = (2x+3y)(2x−3y−1)
