Given, divisor is, g(x) = 4x -1

and dividend is p(x) = 3x³ -9x² +2x +20

Let g(x) = 0

=> 4x -1 =0 => 4x = 1

therefore, x = 1/4

in p(x),

3(1/4)³ -9(1/4) ² +2(1/4) +20

= 3/64 - 9/16 + 1/2 +20 = 36-48/64 + 2+20/2

= -12/64 +22/2 = -3/16 + 11 = -3+176/16

= 173/16
