by elimination method,

11x-4y=67..........eq.1

5x-2y=19...........eq.2

multiply eq.2 by 2

we obtain,

10x-4y=38.........eq.3

substract eq 3 from eq 1

11x+4y=67

- 10x-4y=38

we get x = 29

now substitute value of x in eq.2

19 = 5×29-2y

= 145 -2y

19-145 = -2y

-126 =2y

-126÷2 =y

therefore , y = 63

x=29 and y=63
