2. (a) Read the following passage carefully and
answer the questions given below : (any five)
Everyone knows that Gandhiji did not live for himself
but for others. He was simple, straight and an honest
individual. He never used harsh words against anyone
or insinuated anything unworthy against anybody.
As a man and as a leader, he himself did what he
asked others to do. He was a follower of truth and
non-violence and how strange he won freedom for
us without firing a shot. He was terribly economical.
He would often use the back of written papers for
writing his messages. At the same time he was neat
and tidy person with his chin properly shaved and
nails carefully cut. His clothes were few and simple
but were scrupulously clean. His diet was very simple
but very carefuly prepared. He took peculiar delight
in nursing the sink above all, he was a blossom op
the huinan tree which opens after long ages.
