Answer:

5-5y+4+4y/1-2y=9

5+4-5y+4y/1-2y=9

9-y/1-2y=9

(9-1)(-y-2y)=9

8×-3y=9

-3y=9/8

y=9/8×1/3

y=9/24

y=3/8

 \frac{5(1 - y) + 4(1 +y)}{1 - 2y}  = 9 \\  \\  \frac{5 - 5y + 4 + 4y}{1 - 2y}  = 9 \\  \\ 9 - y = 9(1 - 2y) \\ 9 - y = 9 - 18y \\  - 18y   +  y = 9   -   9 \\   - 17y = 0 \\ y =  \frac{0}{ - 17}  \\ y = 0
