The Syrian Civil War is one of the worst wars
of our times. It has left thousands of people
homeless and displaced and has given rise to a
huge refugee population. Statistics indicate that
11 million people have been killed or forced to
flee their homes. Those who fled have moved
or are moving to neighbouring countries for
refuge. Many have undertaken long journeys to
Europe in the hope of a safer and better life.
In Lebanon, one in every four person is a
Syrian refugee and in Jordan the figure is one in
every ten.
