11-15 Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow
A big battle was going on during the First World War. Guns were firing, and Shells and bullets
flying about everywhere. After an hour, one of the soldiers decided that the fighting was getting
dangerous for him, so he left the front line and began to go away from the.battle. After he had walke
for an hour, he saw an officer coming towards him. The officer stopped him and said, "Where are you
going?" "I'm trying to get as far away as possible from the battle that's going on behind us, Sir, the
Soldier answered. "Do you know who I am?" The officer said to him angrily. "I'm your commanding
officer". The soldier was very surprised when he heard this and said, "My God, I didn't realize that I was
so far back already".

Sol--

The soldier found that battle was getting dangerous for him and to safe he decided to make a move from the battle.

Q2) Was the battle a severe one? Support your answer by citing words/expressions from the story

Sol-- Nope severe means great and i didn't found this paragraph a severe one

Q3) What may be the possible cause for the officer to be angry?

Sol-

One of the most possible cause for the officer to be angry would be that, the soldier was running like a coward from the battle which was going on.. and one of the soldier characteristics are that they don't have a fear of anything and they are ready to die for the country but this soldier was having a fear of his life more than the country.

Q3)  What idea was finally formed in the mind of the soldier when he realized that the man was

commanding officer?

Sol..

The idea which was in the soldier when he realized the man was the commanding officer was surely that he was having a fear of the man. He said that he didn't realized that he was so far from the battle. It was said in fear he said this to not get a scold from his senior. He was surely sorry for that.

Q4) What impression do you get about the officer?

I get a good impression from the officer. His words meant the feeling of a true soldier. He was angry when he found the soldier was running like a coward from the battle. That surely means he didn't fear from dying.
