5 - 2(x - 1) = 4(3 - x) - 2x \\ 5 - 2x + 2 = 12 - 4x - 2x \\ 7 - 2x = 12 - 6x \\ 7 - 12 =  - 6x + 2x \\  - 5 =  - 4x \\ x =  \frac{5}{4}
