5(2p-1)+25% of 8p=31

5(2p-1) +25/100 x 8p =31

5(2p-1) +1/4 x8p =31

5(2p-1) + 2p =31

10p-5 +2p=31

8p-5=31

8p =31+5

8p = 36

p =36/8

p = 4.5
