\huge\bf\underline{Answer}

The value of x is 7/2 or 3.5

Solution:-

5 (2x + 3) - 6 (x - 3) = 47

=> 10x + 15 - 6x + 18 = 47

=> 4x + 33 = 47

=> 4x = 47 - 33

=> 4x = 14

=> x = 14/4

=> x = 7/2 or 3.5

Verification:-

L.H.S

Putting the value of x in the linear equation:-

5 (2x + 3) - 6 (x - 3)

= 5 (2×3.5 + 3) - 6 (3.5 - 3)

= 5 (7 + 3) - 6 × 0.5

= 5 × 10 - 3

= 50 - 3

= 47

Therefore, L.H.S = 47

And R.H.S is already 47

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence, Proved.
