Given :

\sqrt{5}+\sqrt[3]{x}=3

To find : the value of x = ?

Solution :

\sqrt{5}+\sqrt[3]{x}=3

So, it can be written as:

\sqrt[3]{x}=3-\sqrt{5}

Cubing both sides, we get :

x=(3-\sqrt{5}})^3\\\\x=3^3-(\sqrt{5})^3-3\times 3\times \sqrt{5}(3-\sqrt{5})\\\\x=27-5\sqrt{5}-9\sqrt{5}(3-\sqrt{5})\\\\x=27-5\sqrt{5}-27\sqrt{5}+45\\\\x=72-32\sqrt{5}

Hence, the value of x is 72-32\sqrt{5}
