Given :  Fare for 1st km  = 30  Rs , Fare for each km further = 12 Rs  

To Find :  Fare for 50 km

Solution:

Fare for 1st km  = 30  Rs

Fare for each km further = 12 Rs

Let say distance covered  = d  km

Then  Fare

F  = 30  + (d - 1) 12  

d  = 50 km

Fare = 30 + (50 - 1) 12

= 30 + 49 (12)

= 30 + 588

= 618  Rs

Fare for 50 km = Rs 618
