5 + 3a - 14a²

=> We need 2 numbers such that,

The product of the numbers should be 5 × -14 = -70

And Sum of those numbers should be 3

Numbers are 10 and -7.

Therefore,

5 + 3a - 14a²

=> 5 + 10a +(- 7a) - 14a²

=> 5 + 10a - 7a - 14a²

=> 5(1 + 2a) - 7a(1 + 2a)

=> (5 - 7a)(1 + 2a)

Answer :- (5 - 7a)(1 + 2a)
