5√5x + 2 = 2

Cancel the equal terms of 2 and 2

➾ 5√5x = 0

Divide both the sides by 5

➾ 5√5x ÷ 5 = 0 ÷ 5

➾ √5x = 0

Remove the radicand because the only way a root could by 0 is when the radicand is 0

➾ 5x = 0

Divide both the sides by 5

\dfrac{5x}{5} = \dfrac{0}{5}

➾ x = 0

∴ The value of x is 0

Let's check the solution :-

5√5x + 2 = 2

By putting the value of x as 0

➾ 5√5 × 0 + 2 = 2

➾ 5√0 + 2 = 2

➾ 0 + 2 = 2

➾ 2 = 2

∴ LHS = RHS ✔✔
