Hi there!

5(8x-16)= 8x + 8(x+6)

 40x - 80 = 8x + 8x + 48 \\  \\40x - 16x = 48 + 80 \\  \\ 24x = 128 \\  \\ x =  \frac{128}{24}   =   \frac{16}{3}

You can verify this answer by putting the value of x in L.H.S and R.H.S.

Thankyou :)
