Answer:

Total count of trees is 135.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the problem,

Ratio of Apple trees in the orchard= 5/9.

Number of orange trees in the orchard=60.

Let the total ratio of all trees in the orchard be 1:1 or simply 1.

Then The ratio of Orange trees= {1- (Ratio of apple trees)}

                                                   ={1-(5/9)}

                                                   = {(1/1)-(5/9)}

Taking 9 as the LCM we have,

                                                   = {(9-5)/9}

                                                   =4/9 or 4:9.

Let the total count of trees be T.

Now we know that 4:9 of the total count of trees is 60.As the count of orange trees is 60 and the ratio of the same is 4:9.

Therefore we can write the same as

⇒ (4/9)×T=60

which states that 4:9 of total count is 60.

Therefore Total count of trees(T)= 60×(9/4)      (By keeping T alone on the left hand side.)

⇒T=60×2.25

⇒T=135.
