Lets consider the man had 12 acre of land

1/2 sold or 6 acre he sold

6 acres remaining

1/2 of the remaining to son or 3 acre given to son

3 acre left

1/3 given to daughter : 1 acre given to daughter

so .. 2 acre left with the man.

PS : why I have taken 12 acre?
