Given:

A body starts from rest, u = 0.

A body gains speed 90 km/hr in 30 sec.

To Find:

The distance covered by the body = ?

Acceleration of the body = ?

Solution:

We know that,

  • 90 km/hr = 25 m/s.

To find the acceleration of the body = ?

V = u + at

=> 25 m/s = 0 + a × 30

=> 25 m/s = 0 + 30a

=> 25 m/s = 30a

=> a = 25/30

=> a = 5/6

=> a = 0.83 m/s².

Therefore, acceleration of the body is 0.83 m/s².

Now,

To find the distance of the body = ?

S = ut + 1/2 at²

=> 1/2 × 0×30 + 1/2 0.83×30²

=> 1/2 × 0.83 × 900

=> 0.83 × 450

=> 373.5 meter.

=> 373.5 kilometer.

Therefore, distance travelled by the body is 373.5 km.
