let the price of bottle and cork are x and y respectively

then x+y=1.10

and x=y+1

so x is (1.10+1)/2=1.05 rs

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let’s call the bottle B and the cork C.  We know that

B= 1 + C and B+ C=1.10

By substituting B into the 2nd equation, we get:

(1+C) + C= 1.10

so 1 + 2C = 1.10

so 2C=.10

so the cork costs .05

and the bottle costs 1.05
