Answer:

a=0.84m/s² and s=38m

Explanation:

u=20km/h =5.5m/s,v=35km/h=9.7m/s and t=5s

5.(i). a=v-u/t

a=9.7-5.5/5

a=0.84m/s²

(ii)s=ut+1/2at²

s=5.5+1/2(0.84)5²

=5.5+1/2(0.84)25

s=38m

Explanation:

20km/hr=20 \times 5/18=5.5m/s \\ 35km/hr=35 \times \: 5/18=9.7m/s \\ time=5seconds \\  \\ acceleration=v−u/t \\acceleration=9.7−5.5/5 \\acceleration=0.84m/s  {}^{2}    \\  \\ distance=ut+1/2at {}^{2} \\ distance=(20×5)+1/2×0.84×25 \\ distance=100+1/2×21 \\ distance=100+10.5 \\ distance \: covered=110.5m
