Question:-

A cube has the total surface area of 384 cm. Find its lateral surface area.

Answer:-

Given,

Total surface area of cube is 384 cm.

Then, side=a

According to question;

Total surface area of cube=6(a)²

384 cm=6(a)²

384/6 cm=(a)²

64 cm=(a)²

8 cm=a

Hence,side of cube is 8 cm.

We find that lateral surface area of cube.

Then,4(a)²=4(8)² cm=4×64 cm=256 cm.
