The number of tiles required is 2000.

Explanation:

Given : Length of floor = 15 m = 1500 cm [∵ 1 m = 100 cm]

Width of floor = 12m = 12 00 cm

Then Area of the floor =Length of floor x Width of floor

1500 x 1200 =1800000 sq. m

Side-length of the square tile = 30 cm

Area of  square tile = (side)²

= (30)² = 900 sq.cm

Number of tiles required. = (Area of the floor )÷(Area of  square tile )

(1800000 ) ÷ (900)= 2000

Hence, the number of tiles required is 2000.
