Given : Dimension of floor = 18 m by 11 m

And

Width of carpet = 150 cm = 1.5 m ( As we know 1 m = 100 cm )

And

Carpet leaving a space of 1.50 m all around , So

Dimension of carpet = ( 18 - 1.50 - 1.50 ) m by ( 11 - 1.50 - 1.50 ) m 15 m by 8 m

So,

Area of carpet = 15 × 8 = 120 m2

Let length of carpet required = x , So

width of carpet × Length of carpet = 120

1.50x = 120

x = 80
