Answer:

Question ⬇️

A living room of Ashita's house is 13 m long and 9 m broad. If she wishes to carpet the floor will

carpet 4.5 m wide at the rate 950 per metre, then find the total cost of carpeting the floor.

Answer ⬇️

Given,

Length of the room=13m

Breadth of the room = 9m

Area of the room =(length / bredth)sq.

➡️(13×9)sq

➡️117m2

Let the length required of the carpet be x cm.

Breadth of the carpet = 4.5 m

Area of the carpet = (4.5 × x )m sq.

=4.5x m sq.

For carpeting the room,

Area converted by the carpet = Area of the room

4.5x = 117

x = 117/4.5

x = 26 m

Hence,the length of the carpet is 26 m.

1 m carpet cost = Rs. 950

So,

26 m carpet cost will be = (26×950)

➡️ Rs. 24,700.

Thus,cost of 26 m carpet will be

Rs. 24,700.
